Safe to Send?

Check an address before you send.

An address that looks like any other can be a smart wallet that only exists on one chain. Send to it on the wrong chain and the money can be gone for good. Paste the address and pick the chain you are sending on: this reads the address on every chain and tells you whether funds sent there can be reached.

How a check works

From the address you paste to a clear answer, read from public RPCs only.

  1. 1. Pastethe address and the chain you are sending on
  2. 2. Readthe address on all 20 chains at once
  3. 3. Look upthe Abstract wallet list, Safe owners and EIP-7702 code
  4. 4. Decidesafe, caution or stop, with the reasons
  5. 5. Sendor don't: before the money moves

A real result

Stop

An Abstract wallet, sent on BNB Chain. Nothing lives at that address on BNB Chain and nothing ever can.

Key wallets work everywhere

A normal wallet address comes from a private key. The same key controls that address on every EVM chain, so funds sent on the "wrong" EVM chain can still be reached by importing the key there. EIP-7702 accounts are key wallets too.

Smart wallets live on one chain

Safes, Abstract wallets and other smart wallets are contracts. They exist only on the chains where they were created. On any other chain the same address has no code and no key behind it. Some can be created there later at the same address; some never can.

Abstract wallets can't follow you

Abstract runs EraVM, which computes contract addresses differently from standard EVM chains. An Abstract wallet can never be recreated on BNB Chain, Ethereum or Base. ZKsync Era also runs EraVM and has Abstract's wallet contracts, so there its owner can most likely recreate it.

What it tells apart

Every check ends in one of these, from what the chains themselves say.
